the poetic year

Filed under: Uncategorized — larspalm @ 12:38 pm

although 2011 wasn’t quite as hysterical as 2010 it was still rather active. it began in a rush with ho(s)tel window based on photos by petra accompanied by short pieces of text by me self-published through PoFot quickly followed by (s)he dead from red ochre press, a small e-chap of five poems in memoriam recently dead poets & what’s in a from the red ceilings press in an edition of 40 (whereof a few copies remain). later in the spring i came across corrupt press & submitted a 20-some page manuscript. a couple of days later dylan harris, the corrupt publisher replied asking if i had enough good stuff for a book. thus in september road song for was published. also during the year scattered poems & the occasional sequence have appeared here & there. the release of the road song led to me embarking on a very slow european reading tour beginning with the launch in paris in october. it may continue in dublin  in the winter/spring & in amsterdam in the late summer/early fall. in the new year there are plans for a new chapbook, near the public transport system (a dozen small prose poems) from above/ground press & a new book, chaos on/chaos off from obvious epiphanies press. what else the new year will bring we shall simply have to wait & see

  1. yes, an interesting year is ending indeed. and here in the u.s. the new year promises to be just as interesting re: political discord, and popular unrest. and as for poetry as long as we are alive and reading and writing, and publishing!, it is good. congratulations on this past year and many many new projects and publications to you, lars. my best to you and petra! happy new year!
